Chromafora is an innovative Swedish cleantech company that have unique purification technology and patented methods to remove heavy metals and PFAS from polluted water, and to extract valuable metals for recycling.
“When SÖRAB was investigating various PFAS treatment methods, Chromafora was one of the companies with whom SÖRAB had a great collaboration. What makes the Selpaxt method especially interesting is its ability also to separate short-chain PFAS to a high degree.”
“Chromafora has showed a genuine interest in the project since the very beginning and is dedicated to achieving a good outcome. They visit us regularly on site and we enjoy good, open and clear dialogs with operators as well as people from other parts of the organization.”
Removes PFAS from polluted water
PFAS are removed from polluted water by means of selective separation. Chromafora’s SELPAXT method captures more than 99% of PFAS chains, both long and otherwise hard-to-capture short-chain PFAS.
Removes heavy metals from polluted water
Heavy metals are removed from polluted water by means of selective separation, and the SELMEXT method is able to capture 99% of individual metals.
Valuable metals can also be extracted from waste streams for recycling and reuse by adding a step to the SELMEXT technology after separation.
TECHNOLOGY, SKILLS, OPERATION
Chromafora often install its technology in freight containers that are easily installed and to existing water streams. Chromafora brings the technology, expertise and take care of the operation while the customer only pays for the volume of detoxified water.
At the Högbytorp recycling plant in Upplands-Bro, Sweden, almost 50,000 cubic meters of leachate were treated for the removal of PFAS chemicals over a four-month period. Chromafora, an innovative Swedish cleantech company, was behind the treatment project. The...
